Founder and CFO
Bob Tmur is a founder of XCEL JET and serves as the company’s chief financial officer. He is responsible for financial management of the company and spearheads treasury, tax and accounting policies and procedures.
With more than 26 years of operational and financial experience, Bob has extensive practice and understanding of the implementation of accounting programs, financial strategic planning, tax analysis, operational forecasting and planning, risk management practices and investment strategies. He began his career at Deloitte and has served in various senior financial management positions.
Bob is a California Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Multi-Engine, Airline Transport Rated Pilot. With more than 2,000 hours of flight time, Bob holds an ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate. Currently he is type rated and maintains currency in the CE-525S aircraft. Experience in this series aircraft include CJ1+/CJ2/CJ3.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University Northridge.
Founder and COO
Scott Howard is a founder and chief operations officer for XCEL JET. He provides day-to-day oversight and general management of the company. Scott also serves as chief pilot and captain and is responsible for all flight policies and procedures including FAA communication concerning Operations Specifications, General Operating Manual, and Training Manual revisions.
Scott is an experienced and dedicated pilot with extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, 135 flight and ground instruction, scheduling and tracking 135 training and check rides, EFB IPad training, SMS training and experience, TSA Twelve Five In-flight and ground security coordination. With more than 8,600 hours of flying experience domestically and internationally, Scott holds an ATP (Airline Transport Pilot), CFI, CFII and MEI certificates. Currently he is type rated and maintains currency in the CE-525S aircraft. Experience in this series aircraft include CJ/CJ1+/CJ2/CJ3/CJ4.
With a personal focus on excellent customer service and innovation, Scott brings a comprehensive understanding of aviation to XCEL JET having served in such capacities as chief pilot, citation captain and management services for various companies.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science with a minor in aviation safety from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
